Hazelbury Parliament Update

Hazelbury Parliament Update by our Topaz Family MPs.

Hello, we are Amy and Amari, MPs of Topaz family. After meeting with our family councillors regularly last half term, we gave feedback to Laura Taylor in our MP meeting and made final decisions about the ideas from the students.

The recent craze of bottle flipping has been sweeping Hazelbury, therefore we have made a special area with snazzy bottles in the playground during lunchtime and playtimes- this means children can safely have fun when doing this activity!

The school have worked hard on creating a Behavior for Eating Code and this will be revealed in the summer term- watch this space!

Children also gave their ideas for what we should do on World Book Day. It was decided we are going to dress up as our favourite book characters and will be participating in ‘Drop Everything and Read’! We will also be reading with children in our Hazelbury Families, and having a special assembly!

We also discussed E-Safety and how we should promote this. We decided that the Year 6 children create a quiz for the other classes, as well as everyone having special assemblies and lessons about how to stay safe online.
